Official History of Elsyum
Elsyum was formed in 1693 through the event known as the Rapture, when all continents converged into one landmass roughly the size of what was formerly known as North America and parts of Asia. Many of the previous human population died in the occurance. This unprecedented geological shift caused the emergence of unfamiliar creatures from the ocean depths.
In the following years, the Fae began to appear. Initially perceived as hostile and demonic, they gradually earned legal recognition due to their increasing resemblance and integration with humans.
Today, Elsyum is divided into four distinct sections:
- Section 1: Government headquarters, exclusively human, located within a secure glass dome; no Fae permitted.
- Section 2: Human-only residential and commercial areas; Fae may access under strict conditions via special passes and are required to wear masks.
- Section 3: Mixed human and Fae population; economically disadvantaged relative to other sections.
- Section 4: Fae-exclusive territory.
This structure maintains order while recognizing the distinct communities within Elsyum.

Elsyum is a unified global government formed by merging all countries into one. The world is divided into sections, each with its own local administration, but all sections are governed under Elsyum’s central authority.
Structure and Branches:
- Legislative Branch: Creates and passes global laws and policies. Representatives are elected or appointed from each section to ensure fair regional input.
- Executive Branch: Implements and enforces laws, overseeing daily operations and coordination between sections.
- Judicial Branch: Interprets laws and resolves disputes at global and sectional levels to ensure justice.
- Military Branch: Protects against external threats, including strange monsters, and maintains peace among sections.
- Cleanup Crew Branch: Handles emergencies involving fae creatures and safely disposes of fae bodies, which can mutate and become hazardous if left unmanaged.
Each branch serves a specific role to maintain order, security, and specialized care. Leadership in each branch is chosen through a combination of regional representation, expertise, and merit, ensuring balance between global unity and local autonomy.
Elsyum Culture
Elsyum embraces cultural diversity across its sections, allowing each region to maintain its unique traditions, languages, and customs. While unified under a global government, local cultures are respected and preserved to promote harmony and identity.
